Dr. Hong Jun ("Francisco") Yun is an Interventional Cardiologist with the Heart Care Centers of Illinois. 

Dr. Yun graduated from the University of Toronto and received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, MA where he also served as chief medical resident. He went on to complete fellowships in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and was elected chief interventional cardiology fellow. In addition to his clinical duties, he has been active in clinical research. He has authored numerous publications and book chapters, and presented in national cardiovascular conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. 

Dr. Yun specializes in trans-radial cardiac catheterization (i.e. angiograms via the blood vessel in the wrist) and performs percutaneous interventions of complex cardiac disease using the newest technologies such as atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound and other modalities. He also has expert knowledge in structural heart interventions and is an active member of the Heart Valve team at Advocate Christ Medical Center where he performs minimally invasive Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). 

Dr. Yun is currently seeing patients in our Mokena and Palos Park Clinics.
