Joshua Socolow, M.D.

Dr. Joshua Socolow graduated from Yale University in 1993 having been named both summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He attended Washington University in St. Louis for medical school and then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Socolow attended Emory University for his Cardiology Fellowship. There he received an American Heart Association Young Investigator Award which allowed him to pursue additional training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). His research works include studies on the use of MRI to, among other things:  measure size of heart attacks and to identify blockages in the heart arteries.  He has presented his findings on these subjects at national and international meetings.

In addition to MRI, Dr. Socolow pursued additional training in nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT scanning.

His current interests include advanced cardiac imaging techniques, coronary artery disease, cholesterol and cardiac risk-factor modification, and congestive heart failure.
Dr. Socolow joined Heart Care Centers of Illinois in 2004.  He is board certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
