Physicians and their families are invited to attend a day at the Brookfield
Zoo on Saturday, June 8. Families can enjoy the zoo and facilities while physicians
attend educational programs for CME credit. Lunch will be provided.
Physicians will receive 3 CME credits for
seminar attendance, provided by Midwest Physicians Alliance. At the conclusion of
the formal CME program, an optional financial planning seminar will be given by Salomon
Smith Barney, Inc.

Program Objectives:
At the end of this symposium participants will
be able to:
Choose the most appropriate and cost-effective
evaluation to diagnose coronary artery disease in women.
Identify the indications, coronary risks, and
benefits of hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women.
Define diagnosis and treatment of primary and
secondary causes of pulmonary hypertension.
Understand physical signs and duplex imaging
techniques in diagnosing peripheral vascular disease.
Understand the role of exercise, smoking cessation,
as well as medical and surgical therapies for patient with peripheral vascular disease.
Practice cost-effective non-invasive and invasive
evaluations of patients with syncope.
List the most common causes of types of syncope and
management.
Understand the etiology, epidemiology and treatment
of lung cancer.
