PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

  • Integrate the latest medical treatment options in patients with CHF
  • Apply the new hypertension treatment guidelines from JNC VII
  • Define the indications for defibrillator and biventricular pacemaker implantation in patients with cardiomyopathy
  • Develop a systematic approach to the workup of patients with cryptogenic stroke
  • Describe the role of the RESTORE and MAZE procedures in patients undergoing CABG
